COVID-19 Visitation Guide For Necessary Personal

Here at Professional Nurse Partners, our main priority is keeping our clients and caregivers safe during the COVID-19 State of emergency. During this crisis, we have put in new protocols and COVID-19 training in place to keep everyone in our community safe. One of these protocols includes limiting visitations to only necessary personal such as doctors, nurses, and caregivers. · Visitors who have flu-like symptoms of acute respiratory illness or have a fever are not allowed inside the home until they are free of fever (100.4° F [37.8° C] or greater using an oral thermometer) and are free of signs of a fever, and any other symptoms for at least 24 hours, without the use of fever-reducing or other symptom-altering medicines (e.g. cough suppressants).

· Visitors will not enter home if they have been in contact with someone with COVID-19, COVID-19 symptoms or have traveled to a country where COVID-19 is a threat to the community in the past 14 days

· Visitors will notify PNP staff if they have any flu-like symptoms after their visitation.

· Visitors will not shake hands or hug each other, staff, clients or persons.

· Visitors will practice “cough etiquette.” Cover your mouth and nose with a flexed elbow or tissue when coughing and sneezing. Throw away the used tissue immediately and wash your hands or use alcohol-based hand sanitizer.

· All visitors are required to wash their hands immediately when entering the client’s home or use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer if soap and water is not available.

·Visitors are required to practice social distancing (Social Distancing Staying at least six feet away from other people which lessens your chances of catching COVID-19.)

· Visitor’s will be required to wash their hands regularly during there visit

Note: Frequently wash hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds or use alcohol-based hand sanitizer containing at least 60% alcohol, especially after going to the bathroom; before eating; before and after providing care to persons in care; and after blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing. Always wash hands with soap and water if hands are visibly dirty.

For Care Givers: We ask that they follow all COVID-19 Guidelines that have been put in place and ask that they provide the following services after visitations.

· Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces following the manufacturer’s guidance. Frequently touched surfaces include, but are not limited to, commodes, toilets, faucets, hand and/or bed railings, telephones, door handles and knobs, computer equipment, and kitchen food preparation surfaces.

· Clean and disinfect rooms after each meeting between a visitor and person in care.

 · Use all cleaning products according to the directions on the label.

· Management of laundry, food service utensils and medical waste should be performed in accordance with routine procedures.

· Remind people to practice social distancing not shake hands or hug each other, staff or persons in care.
